  • Origins: Nizamabad's name comes from Nizam-ul-Mulk, the 18th-century founder of the Asaf Jahi dynasty.

  • Historical Importance: Ruled by several dynasties including Rashtrakutas, Chalukyas, Kakatiyas, followed by the Delhi Sultanate, the Bahmani Sultanate, and the Asaf Jahi Nizams.
