Founded in 1945 by Vaidyan KGK Panicker in Aluva, Kerala, Kerala Ayurveda Limited (KAL) is an 80-year-old, public-listed entity dedicated to preserving authentic Ayurveda. It has evolved from a local pharmacy into a comprehensive, global wellness brand with hospitals, clinics, manufacturing facilities, and education centers in India and the US, pioneering hospitalized Ayurveda treatment. 

 

Key Milestones and Evolution:

  • 1945–1950s: Established in Aluva, Kerala, by Vaidyan KGK Panicker, a renowned Ayurveda Acharya.
  • 1977: Transformed into a partnership firm, transitioning from a proprietary concern.
  • 1991–1992: Incorporated as a Private Limited company, officially registered on 6th July 1992.
  • 1995: Launched a public issue (IPO) to fund expansion, including a modern manufacturing plant in Athani, near Kochi.
  • 2000s: Transformed into a Public Limited Company and began expanding internationally, launching academies in the US.
  • Present: Operates as a "full-spectrum" ayurvedic company (clinics, products, education) with over 350 classical and proprietary formulations.
