Resubelpara, the headquarters of North Garo Hills District, is located ~120 km from Guwahati and ~210 km from Shillong. It is well-connected by road, but there are no direct flights or train stations in the town. Here’s how you can reach Resubelpara:

 By Air – Nearest Airports

1. Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (Guwahati) – 125 km (~4 hours by road)

✅ The nearest major airport to Resubelpara.
✅ Well-connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, and other major cities.
✅ From Guwahati Airport:

• Take a shared sumo or private taxi (~₹3,000-₹5,000) to Resubelpara.
• Alternatively, take a bus to Dudhnoi, then a local taxi to Resubelpara.

 Tip: Guwahati Airport is the best option for domestic and international travelers.

2. Shillong Airport (Umroi Airport) – 210 km (~6 hours by road)

✅ A smaller airport with limited flights from Kolkata and Guwahati.
✅ From Shillong Airport:

• Take a private taxi (~₹5,000-₹7,000) to Resubelpara.
• Alternatively, take a shared sumo to Shillong, then a bus or taxi to Resubelpara.

 Tip: Flights to Shillong Airport are less frequent and expensive compared to Guwahati.

 By Train – Nearest Railway Stations

1. Guwahati Railway Station – 120 km (~4 hours by road)

✅ From Guwahati Railway Station:

• Take a bus or shared sumo to Dudhnoi (~2.5 hours).
• From Dudhnoi, take a local taxi to Resubelpara (~1.5 hours).
• Alternatively, hire a direct taxi (~₹3,000-₹5,000) from Guwahati to Resubelpara.

 Tip: Shared sumos to Shillong and nearby areas leave frequently from Paltan Bazar, near Guwahati Railway Station.

 By Road – Best & Most Convenient Option

Resubelpara is connected via NH17 and NH217, with scenic road routes from Shillong and Guwahati.

1. From Shillong (210 km | ~6 hours by road)

 By Taxi:

• Private taxis (~₹4,000-₹6,000) are available from Shillong.
• Shared sumos (~₹400-₹600 per person) operate from Shillong Taxi Stand.

 By Bus:

• Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) buses run from Shillong to Dudhnoi, then take a taxi to Resubelpara.
• Private buses also operate from Shillong’s main bus terminal.

 Tip: Roads are hilly and misty, so travel during daylight hours.
