 By Air: Nearest Airports

✅ Trivandrum International Airport (TRV)

 ~115 km |3–3.5 hours by road

• Closest major airport with domestic and international flights
• Regular flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Dubai, Doha, and Singapore
• Taxis, buses, and car rentals available to Pathanamthitta

 Tip: Ideal for travelers coming from southern or central India and abroad.

✅ Cochin International Airport (COK)

 ~140 km |3.5–4 hours by road

• Well-connected with domestic and international cities
• Ideal for those coming from north Kerala or western India

 Tip: Great option if you also plan to visit Kochi or Munnar.

By Train: Nearest Railway Stations

Pathanamthitta does not have a railway station, but there are several nearby stations that connect to major cities.

 ~28 km |45 mins to 1 hour drive

• The nearest and most preferred station
• Regular trains from Kochi, Trivandrum, Chennai, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata

✅ Thiruvalla Railway Station (Station Code: TRVL)

 ~30 km |1 hour drive

• Another nearby station with good connectivity
• Slightly more relaxed and less crowded than Chengannur

✅ Kottayam Railway Station

 ~65 km | ~1.5–2 hours drive

• Major station for those traveling from northern Kerala or visiting Kumarakom/Munnar en route

 Tip: From any of these stations, buses, taxis, and autos are available to reach Pathanamthitta.

 By Bus (KSRTC & Private Operators)

• KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) runs frequent services to and from:
  • Trivandrum, Kochi, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Thiruvalla, Chengannur, Punalur, and Sabarimala
• Both super fast and ordinary buses are available
