Cochin International Airport (COK)

 ~100 km to Idukki town | 2.5 to 3.5 hours by road

  • The closest and most convenient airport
  • Well-connected with domestic cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and international hubs like Dubai, Doha, and Singapore
  • Taxis and buses available to Idukki, Munnar, or Thekkady

 Tip: Prepaid taxis and private cabs are easily available at the airport.

 

Madurai Airport (Tamil Nadu)

 ~140 km to Thekkady |~3.5 hours by road

  • A good option if you’re coming from Tamil Nadu or planning to explore Thekkady (Kumily)

Ernakulam Junction (ERS)

 ~110 km to Munnar | ~3–4 hours by road

  • Major station with long-distance trains across India
  • Ideal for travelers going to Munnar or Idukki via Kochi

 

Theni Railway Station (Tamil Nadu)

 ~65 km to Thekkady | ~2 hours by road

  • Convenient for those approaching from Tamil Nadu side
