Vaikom and Vaikom Mahadeva Temple

 Description:

Vaikom is known for the Vaikom Mahadeva Temple, one of Kerala’s oldest and most powerful Shiva temples. It was also the site of the famous Vaikom Satyagraha (1924–25), a social reform movement led by Mahatma Gandhi for temple entry rights.
