  • Ayurveda is recognized and promoted under AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy).
  • The state has:
    • Over 1,200 Ayurvedic dispensaries.
    • 2 Government Ayurvedic Colleges (Paprola in Kangra and Jogindernagar in Mandi).
    • Several government-run Ayurveda hospitals and research centers.
    • Cultivation of medicinal plants like ashwagandha, shatavari, brahmi, triphala, and guggulu is encouraged under schemes like National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB).
