AYUSH Department Initiatives

• Arunachal Pradesh has established AYUSH Hospitals in key districts.
• Supported by the National AYUSH Mission (NAM) for promotion of Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, and Unani.
• Free Ayurvedic consultation and medicines at AYUSH OPDs in places like Itanagar, Naharlagun, and Pasighat.

AYUSH Wellness Centres (AWCs)

• Operate in PHCs (Primary Health Centres)
• Offer ayurvedic and homeopathic treatments
• Promote wellness through community health camps

Training & Research

• Local healers being trained in modern herbal medicine identification.
• Collaboration with institutes like NEIFM (North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine), Pasighat, under Ministry of AYUSH.
