• Oussudu Lake Bird Sanctuary (Ousteri Lake):
  • Significance: This is the first and only wildlife sanctuary in the Union Territory of Puducherry, declared in 2008. It's recognized as one of the significant wetlands in Asia by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN).
