Goa is known as the music capital of India, with both Western and Indian musical traditions.

Traditional Music:

• Mando: Slow, rhythmic love song with Portuguese influence.
• Dulpod: Fast-paced folk song.
• Fugdi and Dhalo: Performed by women during religious festivals.
• Bhajan and Kirtan: Popular in Hindu temples.

Instruments:

• Ghumot, dhol, shehnai, and western instruments like violin and guitar.

Dance Forms:

• Fugdi: Performed by women, especially during Ganesh Chaturthi.
• Dekhni: Semi-classical dance with Portuguese influence, often themed on temple dancers.
• Corridinho: Portuguese folk dance performed in groups.
• Lamp Dance: Artistic performance balancing lamps on the head.
