Climate & Soil Conditions

• Climate: Arid to semi-arid; annual rainfall ranges between 100 mm to 500 mm in western Rajasthan and up to 1000 mm in the southeastern parts.
• Temperature: Can rise up to 50°C in summer and drop near 0°C in winter.
• Major Soils:
  • Desert soil (sandy, infertile, found in western Rajasthan)
  • Alluvial soil (along rivers like Chambal and Ghaggar)
  • Black soil (suitable for cotton, in southeastern regions)
  • Red loamy soil (in hilly regions)
