Concentration: Cultivation is concentrated in East Garo Hills, West Garo Hills, and Ri-Bhoi Districts.
Processing: A ginger processing plant at Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP), Byrnihat, was established to process ginger into products like paste, powder, flakes, and oil, adding value to the produce.
