 Where is Uttarakhand Located?

Uttarakhand is a northern state of India, situated in the Himalayan region. It shares borders with:
Himachal Pradesh (northwest)
Uttar Pradesh (south)
Nepal (east)
Tibet (China) (north)

The state is divided into two regions:

  • Kumaon Region: Includes Nainital, Almora, Pithoragarh, and Champawat.
  • Garhwal Region: Includes Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Chamoli.

Uttarakhand is home to the mighty Ganga and Yamuna rivers, originating from Gangotri and Yamunotri glaciers. The terrain ranges from plains and foothills to snow-capped peaks, making it an incredibly diverse destination.
