Tamil Nadu has a tropical climate with hot summers, moderate winters, and seasonal rainfall.
1️ Summer (March – May)
- Temperature: 25°C – 45°C
- Hot and dry, with April and May being the hottest months.
- Coastal areas experience high humidity.
2️ Monsoon (June – November)
- Tamil Nadu is unique as it receives most of its rainfall from the Northeast Monsoon (October – December) rather than the Southwest Monsoon (June – September).
- The Western Ghats receive heavy rainfall, while inland regions get moderate showers.
- Cyclones from the Bay of Bengal occasionally affect coastal districts.
3️ Winter (December – February)
- Temperature: 15°C – 25°C
- Pleasant weather with cooler temperatures in hill stations like Ooty and Kodaikanal.
- Coastal and inland areas remain mild and comfortable.
