 1. Goa Carnival – The Biggest Festival in Goa

 Location: Panjim, Margao, Mapusa, Vasco da Gama
 When: February (4-day celebration before Lent)
 Best For: Colorful parades, live music, dance performances

A lively street festival with floats, dance performances & masquerade balls.
Originated in the Portuguese era & celebrated for over 500 years.
Features street plays, themed costumes & extravagant parties.

 2. Christmas & New Year Celebrations – Goa’s Grandest Holiday Season

 Location: Across Goa, especially in Panjim, Old Goa, and beachside resorts
 When: December 24-25 (Christmas), December 31 (New Year’s Eve)
 Best For: Church masses, festive lights, beach parties
