Course: Flows through the southwestern part of the state, particularly the Rangapahar-Dimapur Plains of Dimapur District, and forms a natural boundary between Karbi Anglong (Assam) and Nagaland.
Significance: The Dhansiri Reserved Forest and Intanki National Park are located on either side of this river, highlighting its ecological importance. Its main tributaries are the Dzuza River and Diphu River.
