Oussudu Lake is a haven for avian life, hosting around 200 species of birds, including about 40 migratory species that visit annually, particularly from November to February. The complex structure of the lake – with wetlands, mudflats, and open water – provides diverse habitats. The sight of numerous birds, including painted storks, openbill storks, white ibises, and golden orioles, against the serene water and lush surroundings creates stunning panoramic views.
