• • Behdienkhlam Festival:   The most important and vibrant festival of the Pnar people, celebrated in July after the sowing season. Its purpose is to drive away evil spirits, pray for a good harvest, and ward off epidemics. It involves ceremonial dancing, and a ritualistic pushing of a large log by two groups (symbolizing good overcoming evil) into a muddy pit (Wah-Eh-Lukha).
