• • Wangala Festival: The most significant post-harvest festival, a thanksgiving celebration to Misi Saljong (the Sun God of fertility). It's also known as the "100 Drums Festival" and involves traditional dances performed to the rhythm of drums, gongs, and flutes, often lasting for several days. The 100 Drums Wangala Festival at Asanang in West Garo Hills is a major cultural event attracting tourists.
